The year 2008 marks an important crossroads in the development and use of HAZUS-MH. New technology — including the Comprehensive Data Management System (CDMS) and Web-based portals — has been rolled out in 2008. Innovative approaches to training and outreach are now being offered to an expanding audience. And HAZUS-MH is playing a more prominent role in state and local mitigation planning than ever before.
The 2008 HAZUS Users Conference will build on the resounding success of last year's event to bring together a diverse group of emergency management and GIS professionals from all levels of government, academia and the private sector in order to share information and experience in the use of HAZUS-MH. The 2008 conference has something for everyone, with scheduled topics that include:

The value of the HAZUS Users Conference, as noted by many attendees from last year's event, is the opportunity to meet with HAZUS model developers and the leadership of organizations that play important roles in planning, training and outreach. In short, the HAZUS Users Conference is the premier annual event for the ever-expanding community of HAZUS-MH users.
