Mr. Coughlin is a project manager, a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM), and a certified geographic information systems professional (GISP) with more than 13 years of experience with GIS and spatial technologies. He’s currently focused on utilizing GIS methodology and natural hazards modeling as tools to assist emergency management, risk assessment, mitigation planning, risk communication, and floodplain management. He is the founder and current president of the North Carolina Hazus User Group, is a Hazus Trained Practitioner and a FEMA authorized Hazus trainer.
