      <description>&lt;p&gt;FEMA Region IV is compiling a comprehensive list of Academic Institutions that are now delivering HAZUS&#45;MH instruction or desiring to do so.&lt;br /&gt;
Please reply here if your institution now delivers or is willing to instruct HAZUS&#45;MH.&lt;br /&gt;
 E&#45;mail me with your information if you want to be contacted and included in a list of educational resources.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;My goal is to include these institutions in a comprehensive list of educational resources that provide educational opportunities related to hazards including scheduled instruction and on demand short notice field delivery services.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I am aware of some including EMI, and their Cadre of contract Instructors and a few Academic Institutions in Region IV and VI , who am I missing?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Even if you have spoke with me, please send your information too.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I will share the information that is not sensitive or otherwise restricted.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Call for Speakers &#45; 57th IAEM Annual Conference &amp;amp; EMEX 2009</title>

Emergency Management: United We Stand&lt;br /&gt;
October 29 &#45; November 6, 2009&lt;br /&gt;
Orlando, Florida, USA&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;IAEM is now accepting abstract submissions for Pre/Post&#45;conference training workshops and conference breakout sessions. IAEM will offer the following six breakout session tracks during its 57th Annual Conference.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Infrastructure: &lt;/b&gt; &#45; This track will include presentations on the basic physical structures needed to sustain modern life. Traditional forms of infrastructure would include roads, water supply, and sewer systems, power grids, information technology and communications. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Organizations and Management:&lt;/b&gt;&amp;nbsp; &#45; Presentations in this track will examine manag ement theories and practices and may explore components of management including planning, organizing, and staffing.&amp;nbsp; Presentations may also discuss evolving trends in emergency management, hazards (climate change, etc).&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Disaster&#45;Related Social Behavior:&lt;/b&gt;&amp;nbsp; &#45; This track will delve into behavior at the individual, organizational, community and mass media levels. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Technology:&lt;/b&gt;&amp;nbsp; &#45; This track will explore the use of technology to facilitate any of the phases of emergency management.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Leadership and the Future of Emergency Management:&lt;/b&gt;&amp;nbsp; &#45; Presentations in this track will peer into futurist and visionary perspectives of disasters, catastrophes and emergency management. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Contemporary: &lt;/b&gt; &#45; This track will include information and perspective on recent events, tools, techniques, issues or concerns impacting emergency management.Multiple submissions are welcomed. To be selected it is crucial that applicants be compelling in both the importance of the subject matter and their own knowledge and experience of the subject.&lt;/p&gt;
