The City of Riverside Office of Emergency Management has been able to arrange for an EMI Certified Basic HAZUS E313 course. There will be no cost for the class.
The course will be held in our EOC from Monday, Nov 15th through Thursday, Nov 18th.
There is a limit of 20 participants and FEMA requires that you attend all of the hours to receive a certificate.
Although the course covers all three basic uses of HAZUS, there will be an emphasis on earthquakes.
Please fill out the attached registration form and return it to us as soon as possible.
If you are not sure if you should take this course, take the free short ESRI course at http://training.esri.com/acb2000/showdetl.cfm?DID=6&Product_ID=906 to learn more.
The FEMA Course description is at http://www.training.fema.gov/EMIGrams/2010/850 - Training Opportunity - E313 Basic HAZUS for Multi Hazards.pdf
Some computer knowledge of ESRI GIS software is required
