What We Do
The NCRHUG (National Capitol Region Hazus User Group) includes membership from federal, local governments, educational institutions and private industry. The primary goal of the group is to provide our members with a platform to share projects, offer local technical support, and opportunities for new partnerships.
We are currently holding our montly calls on the Last Thursday of each month at 10am. If you would like to request a different day/time, please complete the following survey.
For additional online collaboration we have setup a Group page on LinkedIn. This group will be used to post announcements and encourage dialog between our members. We will also be using the Google Collaboration site. To request access to this site or a copy of the data, please email Jenna (jenna.mcgee@amec.com).

- 30-Day Countdown to the 2013 Hurricane Season Begins May 2
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – With just one month until the official start of the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season on June 1, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) urges Americans to ensure their families, homes, and businesses are prepared for the risks associated with hurricanes and tropical storms. Individuals and families are encouraged to have a family communications plan and make a kit with essential items like non-perishable food, bottled water, spare batteries, a can opener, and specialty items like medical prescriptions and spare eye

- FEMA to Evaluate Readiness of Pennsylvania
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency will evaluate a Biennial Emergency Preparedness Exercise at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station. The exercise will occur during the week of April 15th to assess the ability of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to respond to an emergency at the nuclear facility.
