What We Do
The Northeastern HUG is a forum for HAZUS-MH users in public, private, and academic organizations in New England to develop, collaborate, and coordinate on disaster-related GIS projects. NEHUG is a forum for HAZUS users to offer technological, academic, and strategic assistance to each other in our collective efforts to build disaster-resistant communities in New England.

- Federal Share'08 Ice Storm Relief Nears $80 Million
- BOSTON, MA On the evening of December 11, 2008, one of the largest ice storms in decades struck the Northeast. Overnight, the storm wrought havoc on the region, leaving more than 1.4 million without power and costing government agencies almost $80 million for response and recovery efforts in four New England states.
- FEMA Flood Insurance Forum Scheduled for Provincetown and Surrounding Communities
- BOSTON, Mass. -- Representatives from the U.S. Department of Homeland Securitys Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will meet with officials and residents of Provincetown, and surrounding communities at 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 12, 2009, for a public forum on flood insurance and updated Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps. The forum will take place at The Center for Coastal Studies, 5 Holway Avenue, Provincetown.
- FEMA Flood Maps Communicate the Flood Risk in New England
- BOSTON, Mass. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Securitys Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has presented draft flood risk maps to communities in the following Massachusetts counties: Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Hampden, Middlesex, Nantucket, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk, Worcester and Essex.
