HAZUS-MH Software Technical Support

Before you place your call or email to HAZUS Technical Support, please review the HAZUS FAQ for answers to many HAZUS questions including basic usage, software platforms, model questions, support, and data and database topics. If your question is not addressed in any of the FAQ topics, please e-mail fema-hazus@dhs.gov.

National HAZUS ListServ (HAZUSNET-USA)

The Northeast States Emergency Consortium (NESEC) in partnership with the Multidisciplinary Center for Earthquake Engineering Research (MCEER) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has created HAZUSNET-USA as a discussion group for those interested in HAZUS-MH.

HAZUSNET-USA is an unmoderated list service (listserv) open to anyone interested in HAZUS-MH. People can subscribe or unsubscribe to the list via-email. Please note that the opinions expressed on HAZUSNET-USA are those of individual participants and do not represent the official view and policy of NESEC, MCEER or FEMA.

Send an e-mail to: listserv@listserv.buffalo.edu with a blank subject, and with the message body: sub hazusnet-usa-list [Your First Name] [Your Last Name].

Central United States Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC)
The Central U.S. Earthquake Consortium is a partnership of the federal government and the eight states most affected by earthquakes in the central United States. Established in 1983 with funding support from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, CUSEC's primary mission is, "... the reduction of deaths, injuries, property damage and economic losses resulting from earthquakes in the Central United States."

Northeast States Emergency Consortium
The Northeast States Emergency Consortium (NESEC) is a 501(c) (3) not for profit all-hazards emergency management organization, located in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Established in 1991, NESEC is the only all-hazard state consortium in the nation and is supported and funded by the Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Western States Seismic Policy Council
The mission of the Western States Seismic Policy Council (WSSPC) is to develop seismic policies and share information to promote programs intended to reduce earthquake-related losses. WSSPC Goals: Promote regional cooperation and the interaction of the State Emergency Management, State Geological Surveys, and State Seismic Councils and Commissions in the formation of, and advocacy for, seismic policy. Improve the overall awareness of earthquake hazards and methods to mitigate the associated risks; develop strategies to enhance earthquake preparedness; and support earthquake studies and earthquake preparedness activities that will reduce or eliminate deaths, injuries and property damage. Serve as a resource for earthquake-related materials, information, training programs and workshops, in coordination with other regional and national earthquake organizations. Advocate adoption and implementation of seismic mitigation policies at all levels of government.

CDMS Web Portal: FEMA's Software Program for Updating Statewide Datasets

The Web Portal provides a process-oriented approach that will allow users to import and manage HAZUS-MH Level 1 datasets, increases the user base by requiring only internet access and a minimal amount of software in order to utilize the system, and provides flexibility and control by providing a role-based system that can clearly define responsibilities among users.
