Deadlines Nearing For Local Officials Needing Disaster Help
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Local officials of 15 West Virginia counties, who may be interested in applying for federal-state assistance for damages to community infrastructure in the wake of the severe storms, tornadoes, flooding, mudslides and landslides June 3 - 7, are approaching deadlines to request Public Assistance (PA), Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) officials said today.
Governor Manchin Presents Disaster Checks
BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. -- Gov. Joe Manchin presented disaster recovery checks here today to the first three applicants who qualified for the Other Needs Assistance (ONA) program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The program is administered by the state of West Virginia.
