PLEASE POST INFORMATION HERE REGARDING HOW HAZUS IS USED FOR CATASTROPHIC PLANNING

Tampa Bay Catastrophic Planning Summit (assessing impacts from major hurricane to 9 counties) was held in early January 2010 with about 300 participants from local government, large businesses, and federal/state agencies.  HAZUS was used to create most of the metrics within the consequences report.  A model SLOSH run was converted and input into the HAZUS coastal flood model for impacted counties and a HAZUS wind model was run for the region.  More info is available here: http://www.tbrpc.org/tampabaycatplan/
